FAQ

Before You Arrive

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire — dressy but not over the top. Linen suits and sundresses are very much welcomed. The ceremony is in a courtyard in New Mexico in July, which means it will be warm in the early evening. Santa Fe cools down quickly after sunset, especially after a thunderstorm, so bring a light layer for later in the night. Wear something you feel good in!

What if it rains?

July is monsoon season in New Mexico so afternoon thunderstorms are common. If there's weather at ceremony time, we move inside the museum. The building is beautiful either way, and New Mexico rain is brief and dramatic.

When should I RSVP by?

June 11, 2026. Please don't wait until the last minute — we need an accurate headcount well before the wedding. If your plans change after you've responded, let us know as soon as possible.

Getting Around

How do I get to the venue?

The New Mexico Museum of Art is at 107 W Palace Ave, one block from the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe. If you're staying at a Plaza-area hotel, it's a short walk. Street parking on Palace Ave fills early on summer evenings. The Santa Fe Place Mall parking structure on Sandoval St is a short walk away.

What about Uber / Lyft?

Uber and Lyft both operate in Santa Fe, but supply is limited compared to a major city — especially for late-night pickups after an event ends. If you're planning to drink and don't have a designated driver, budget extra wait time or arrange a car service in advance. The Plaza hotels are all walkable from the venue.

Santa Fe Specifics

What about the altitude?

Santa Fe sits at 7,000 feet. If you're coming from sea level expect to feel more winded than usual, and alcohol hits harder and faster than you're used to. Drink water before and during the evening. Give yourself a day to acclimate if you can. Most people feel fine after 24 hours.

The Evening

What will there be to eat?

Catering is being finalized — we'll update this page and the Venue page with full menu details when they're confirmed. We're collecting dietary restrictions via the RSVP form and they will be accommodated.

What about drinks?

There will be beer and wine as well as N/A options. More details to come as catering is confirmed.

What music will there be?

Still finalizing music details. We'll update this page when confirmed.

The Fine Print

Can I bring a plus one?

Please check your invitation — it will specify whether your invitation includes a plus one. If you have questions about this, reach out to us directly before submitting your RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Kids are more than welcome for the ceremony. Activities will be adults only after 8:00pm however.

Is the venue accessible?

We're confirming specific accessibility details for the NMMA courtyard and will update this page with that information. If you have particular accessibility needs, please reach out directly and we'll make sure you have what you need.

What's your policy on phones during the ceremony?

We'd love for you to be present. Please keep phones away during the ceremony itself, there will be a photographer capturing everything. After the ceremony, take all the photos you want and share them however you like.
