FAQ

Before You Arrive

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire — dressy but not over the top. Linen suits and sundresses are very much welcomed. The ceremony is in a courtyard in New Mexico in July, which means it will be warm in the early evening. Santa Fe cools down quickly after sunset, especially after a thunderstorm, so bring a light layer for later in the night. Wear something you feel good in!

What if it rains?

July is monsoon season in New Mexico so afternoon thunderstorms are common. If there's weather at ceremony time, we move inside the museum. The building is beautiful either way, and New Mexico rain is brief and dramatic.

When should I RSVP by?

June 11, 2026. Please don't wait until the last minute — we need an accurate headcount well before the wedding. If your plans change after you've responded, just let us know as soon as you can!

Santa Fe Specifics

How do I get to the venue?

The New Mexico Museum of Art is at 107 W Palace Ave, one block from the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe. If you're staying at a Plaza-area hotel, it's a short walk. Street parking on Palace Ave fills early on summer evenings. The Santa Fe Place Mall parking structure on Sandoval St is a short walk away.

If you're flying in from out of state the Santa Fe Airport is lovely but has very limited flight options. Highly recomend flying through it if you're able to. Otherwise the Albuquerque Sunport is great and much bigger. You can rent a car and drive up i-25 or take the Rail Runner which is a train to Santa Fe. The train passes through parts of the state are normally restricted with no photo rules.

What about the altitude?

Santa Fe sits at 7,000 feet. If you're coming from sea level expect to feel more winded than usual, and alcohol hits harder and faster than you're used to. Drink water before and during the evening. Give yourself a day to acclimate if you can. Most people feel fine after 24 hours.

For altitude adjustment support Rowan recommends this tincture made by local herbalist Jaebird. It can also be purchased at the Ten Thousand Waves gift shop.
