New Mexico Museum of Art
107 W Palace Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87501
The Space
The New Mexico Museum of Art Plaza Building sits on the corner of Lincoln and Palace, one block from the Plaza, and has been one of Santa Fe's most important buildings since 1917. The architecture is Pueblo Revival (thick adobe walls, wooden vigas, portal columns), and is designed to look as if it had always been there. The ceremony will take place in the courtyard, which is one of the most beautiful enclosed outdoor spaces we know of. Open sky, surrounded by the building's curved walls and portal, with a fountain at the center.
If there's an afternoon thunderstorm (July is monsoon season), the ceremony will move inside the museum. The building is beautiful either way, and New Mexico rain is brief and dramatic and exactly right for a wedding.
What to Expect
Doors open at 5:00 pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. A cocktail hour follows in the museum's interior spaces starting at 6:00 pm, then dinner and dancing from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
The evening ends at 11:00 pm. The Plaza and its bars and restaurants are a five-minute walk if the night has more in it.
Catering details to come — we'll update this page once menus are confirmed.
Getting There
The Museum does not provide official parking. We recommend staying downtown near the venue or taking an uber/lyft/taxi. There is also limited street parking nearby. The Santa Fe Place Mall parking structure on Sandoval St is a short walk and reliably has spaces. If driving please try to carpool.
Caterer and menu details are being finalized. We'll update this page with full information — including dietary accommodation details — once confirmed.
